C.W.'s
machines are custom high performance equipment
and not
intended for the average end user.

on the left is an Intel based PIII Dual Processor RAID machine
with 1 GB of PC133 SDRAM. It has two Maxtor 7200rpm IDE
hard drives running in parallel (RAID 0). Other components
include a SoundBlaster Live, 3COM 3C905TX, and an ATI All-In-Wonder
Radeon Video, Cable TV, 32MB 4xAGP Capture Card.
C.W.'s parts preferences include ABIT,
AMD, ASUS,
INTEL, 3COM,
Creative Labs/SoundBlaster,
Maxtor and
many other quality component vendors. He refuses to substitute
the best, off-the-shelf components, with cheaper ones to
make a buck! The best components maximize reliability, compatability,
and upgrade capability. Many retailers cut prices by cutting
quality. I would rather miss a sale than to build sub-standard
equipment!
A rule of thumb is better stuff, more reliability, flexibility,
& support. |
